Discover Divinity at Trimbakeshwar Temple
Perched at the foothills of the Brahmagiri range near Nashik, the Trimbakeshwar Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas — the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. This revered temple draws countless devotees throughout the year, all seeking peace, blessings, and spiritual awakening.
The current structure was built in the 18th century by Peshwa Balaji Bajirao, replacing an older temple that succumbed to time. Crafted from black stone in the classic Hemadpanthi style, the temple has a mystical aura. The sacred Godavari River, also known as Gautami, originates from a pond within the temple premises — adding to the site's spiritual significance.
What sets Trimbakeshwar apart is the three-faced linga, symbolizing Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh (Shiva), a rarity among Jyotirlingas. Surrounded by green hills and bathed in calm, the temple offers both a spiritual experience and a serene escape from the chaos of city life.
